Following a huge in-store giveaway by Gala Retail, five lucky individuals from across the country have been named as the winners of a holiday after entering the competition in their local respective local Gala stores.
Running in store as part of the Gala Group’s 20th year celebrations, the Gala European Holiday Giveaway competition gave Gala customers the chance to win a trip to European destinations including Paris, Rome, Lisbon, Barcelona and Vienna.
Following the announcement, the winners joined their local Gala store owners and representatives for the presentation of their prize, a €1500 holiday voucher.
Speaking about the performance of the in-store giveaway, Gary Desmond, Chief Executive of Gala Retail said:

The European Holiday Giveaway competition is the latest event in a year of celebrations that mark the Gala Group’s 20th year in business and follows on from a huge social media competition which saw the Group giveaway a brand-new Toyota Aygo, as well as the Gala Gifts for Schools competition which saw the Gala Group award €20,000 of cash prize money to three lucky Irish primary schools. The second half of the year will see the continuation of Gala Gifts with a huge in store promotion that will include thousands of prizes for Gala customers.
