Coca-Cola unveils the very first Coca-Cola Real Magic Christmas Experience

Posted on: 17 Nov 2022

This year, Coca-Cola is inviting people to kick off the countdown to Christmas as they announce the very first Coca-Cola Real Magic Christmas Experience. The event will make its first stop in Dublin’s RDS from the 8th until the 10th of December and will then travel to Belfast’s Titanic Quarter on the 16th & 17th of December. Coca-Cola is sharing the Christmas magic to bring friends and family together at the festival, free of charge! Guests can book slots (2.00pm - 5.00pm and 6.30pm - 9.30pm) through the Coca-Cola Eventbrite.

Visitors will be able to enjoy a can of Coca-Cola Zero Sugar or Coca-Cola Original Taste as they have an exclusive family Christmas photo taken with the iconic Coca-Cola Christmas Truck! A range of delicious seasonal snacks will be available to purchase from food vendors on-site, with Coca-Cola donating a percentage of the value for every meal sold to their charity partners, FoodCloud (ROI) and FareShare (NI), part of Homeless Connect.

This year will see the return of Coca-Cola’s Christmas market vendors, where local crafts vendors will have bespoke Coca-Cola Christmas gifts at each event for purchase. Irish-made Christmas cards, ornaments and wreaths will be available, along with handmade goods at both locations. The local vendors appearing at the events for Dublin include Howrad Studios and FlowerPOP, and in the Titanic Quarter, Little Heart Belfast and The Flower Room Belfast, who will all be creating limited edition products for the event. To make the shopping experience even more festive, guests will be serenaded by all the classic Christmas tunes we know and love with live entertainment happening at each session!

One of the best things about Christmas is the incredible food on offer, and our line-up of food vendors at the Coca-Cola Real Magic Christmas Experience will have you in a festive mood in no time! From the iconic Currabinny food truck run by Coca-Cola brand ambassadors James Kavanagh and William Murray to sweet treats and savoury bites, there’s a meal for everyone, made even better with a delicious can of Coca-Cola Zero Sugar or Coca-Cola Original Taste.

Aisling Wilde, Frontline Activation Country Lead, Coca-Cola Ireland said:

“Real Magic at Christmas takes place when we connect with one another. The past 12 months have made life uncertain for many across Ireland, but what we do know for sure is that ‘Christmas Always Finds Its Way’ no matter what shape it may take. At Christmas, everyone always comes around a table to connect and eat delicious food together– with a tasty Coca-Cola bringing real magic to your meal.

We can’t wait to start spreading the Christmas spirit across the island of Ireland with the Coca-Cola Real Magic Christmas Experience. We’re also excited to help support talented local producers to be able to sell their goods at the two locations, with the festival bringing a sprinkling of real magic to consumers. In addition to this, it is important that we also reinforce our commitment to working towards zero waste by promoting recycling and donating to our charity partner”.

Coca-Cola Real Magic beyond the Christmas Truck

This year sees the return of Designated Driver, The Coca-Cola Company and Coca-Cola HBC Ireland and Northern Ireland’s joint campaign that encourages people to be their group’s designated driver for a Christmas night out, ensuring everyone gets home safely during the festive season. Now in its 18th year, the partnership with the Department of Transport, the Road Safety Authority, The PSNI, NI Hotel Federation and Hospitality Ulster is set to bring some real Christmas magic to drivers across the island of Ireland. Those heading out on Christmas nights in Dublin City Centre should keep an eye out for some extra special surprises to come from Coca-Cola, with further detail to be announced in the coming weeks!

Coca-Cola is also partnering with the iconic Daddy’s Café in Rialto to create a Coca-Cola Reindeer Cupcake! The chocolatey treat made with Coca-Cola will be available for a limited period in the run-up to Christmas, with a complementary can of Coca-Cola Zero Sugar included. Follow Daddy’s Café on Instagram from November 29th for updates, and make sure you try one before they sell out!

Coca-Cola once again is a title sponsor of Christmas FM, bringing you the magic of Christmas through the airwaves all December long. Christmas FM will start broadcasting through their online station, https://christmasfm.com/, from Nov 24th – 27th, and then live on the radio from Nov 28th – Dec 31st.
