ALDI Ireland has opened its newest store in Monaghan today, Thursday, 16 October, creating 30 new permanent jobs in the county. The new €14m million store is ALDI’s 165th store in Ireland and second store in County Monaghan. It marks a significant investment by the retailer in Ireland and is part of ALDI’s ongoing commitment to providing fresh, quality and the best value groceries to shoppers.

The lucky shopper was presented with a year's worth of free shopping to mark the occasion.
The new store was officially opened by the local ALDI team including Managing Director of Operations Ireland, Colin Breslin (and native of Three Mile House), Store Manager, John Leather alongside TD for Cavan–Monaghan & Minister of State at the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Niamh Smyth, former Irish rugby player, Conor Murray, and Women’s Irish rugby player, Linda Djougang.
