Kerrygold Invites the World to Experience St. Patrick's Day "Made the Kerrygold Way"

Posted on: 09 Mar 2026

This March, Kerrygold is championing authentic St. Patrick's Day celebrations centered around Irish food. Whether you’re celebrating St. Patrick’s Day at home or out with friends, Kerrygold is inviting food lovers to experience the true taste of Irish cuisine through a multi-channel campaign that spotlights real Irish food culture.

A Campaign Built on Authentic Irish Food

Partnering with chef, JP McMahon of Michelin Star restaurant, Aniar in Galway to create a collection of authentic Irish recipes rooted in Ireland’s food traditions. These recipes champion simple ingredients and real flavor, all brought to life with Kerrygold butter. Recipes include a hearty Lamb Hotpot, artisanal Stout Bread, indulgent Cheese Scones, and a golden Apple & Whiskey Tart. Whether hosting an intimate dinner or a lively gathering, Kerrygold invites all to celebrate the simple joy of gathering around the table over the warmth of a comforting meal.

Traditional Irish meals aren’t about excess, they’re about taking simple, quality ingredients that speak for themselves and creating dishes meant to be shared.

“St. Patrick’s Day is a time when people come together. We want everyone to share the recipes they love and the dishes that mean something to them, rooted in the comforting flavours they grew up with. When you cook with simple, quality ingredients, it creates moments that feel special, and that’s exactly what celebrating the Kerrygold way is all about.” - Alice Langton Brand manager, Ireland.

The St. Patrick's Day Made the Kerrygold Way campaign launches across Ireland, United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, South Africa, and beyond through social, digital, PR, and retail channels throughout March 2026.

The Kerrygold Crisp Sandwich: A Simple Irish Classic

The crisp sandwich has long been an unsung hero in the Irish food story - a humble delicacy often enjoyed at home or on the go. At its heart, it's a celebration of three simple ingredients: soft white bread, cheese and onion flavoured crisps and generous layers of rich, golden Kerrygold butter.

But this is no ordinary sandwich. It’s beloved by Irish locals and A‑list celebrities alike. And while Ireland may never settle the great debate over which crisps belong between the slices, or which bread truly makes it best, one thing has never been up for discussion: the butter. Because when it comes to the perfect crisp sandwich, only Kerrygold will do.

This March, Kerrygold will host a one‑day crisp sandwich pop‑up at The Storyteller pub in Dublin on March 12th. From 12pm to 6pm, guests can enjoy a complimentary Kerrygold crisp sandwich made with a generous spread of golden Kerrygold butter, with sandwiches available on a first‑come, first‑served basis at 9 Grand Canal Street Lower, Dublin 2. Kerrygold has also partnered with renowned Irish illustrator Hephee to create limited‑edition merchandise available to purchase on the day.

Beyond Ireland, Kerrygold is bringing the iconic crisp sandwich to food lovers worldwide. Award‑winning Irish actress and Stranger Things star Amybeth McNulty will introduce the snack to her global audience on social media ahead of international activations rolling out across key markets.

Marquee pubs around the world will join the celebrations this March, with locations including WildAir in New York, The Auld Shillelagh in London, O’Reilly’s in Düsseldorf, Waxy’s in Frankfurt, and Foresters Arms in Cape Town all serving the Kerrygold crisp sandwich as the perfect pairing for St. Patrick’s Day.
