M&S Farm to Foodhall is back with a new campaign featuring Co. Monaghan based Oakham Gold chicken farmer Malachy Traynor, his mother Mary Traynor and M&S Food Ambassador Mark Moriarty. In the campaign, viewers are invited to delve into the stories behind the incredible Farm to Foodhall products, meet some of the dedicated M&S Select Farmers, and learn more about the M&S approach to sustainability and sourcing.
In the first chapter we meet Malachy Traynor, an M&S Select Farmer from Co. Monaghan, who supplies higher welfare, slower-reared Oakham Gold fresh chicken to M&S. His chickens are fed a multigrain diet and are a unique, slower growing breed. This allows them a much better quality of life, with more space to roam, enabling them to be more active and fully express their natural behaviours. This family farm, dedicated to animal welfare, has been supplying M&S with Oakham Gold chicken since 2022, establishing M&S as the first national retailer in Ireland to exclusively offer this premium, higher-welfare product.
The M&S Farm to Foodhall campaign highlights just some of the farmers and producers across Ireland who supply trusted quality Irish food to M&S customers, as well as the ongoing work at M&S in expanding upon its existing range of products sourced from Ireland.
Commenting on the campaign, Laura Harper, Trading Director for M&S Ireland and Northern Ireland said: “Our Farm to Foodhall campaign continues to champion the incredible work of our M&S Select Farms in Ireland. We are delighted to share the story of Malachy Traynor’s farm in County Monaghan, highlighting how his welfare-based approach guarantees our customers delicious tasting and trusted chicken every time.”
M&S ambassador Mark Moriarty added: "It was a pleasure to visit Malachy at his farm in Monaghan, where quality meets tradition. I got to see firsthand the care and attention that goes into raising Oakham Gold chicken and how important family is to the success of this farm. It’s farmers like Malachy that ensure that customers have access to top-quality products when they shop in M&S.”
Whether it's higher welfare, slower-reared chickens from Irish farms, dairy products like artisan cheeses, or fresh fruits and vegetables grown on Irish soil, customers can enjoy the very best of what Ireland has to offer, sourced to highest quality standards of M&S. M&S Farm to Foodhall champions the incredible work of M&S Select Farms and producers in Ireland, because when we say, “this is not just food,” we mean it.
The M&S Farm to Foodhall campaign launches on Monday June 9th 2025, across TV advertising, social media, out of home and in store.
