SPAR and EUROSPAR Partner with NBCRI to Inspire Action During Breast Cancer Awareness Month

SPAR, EUROSPAR, and the National Breast Cancer Research Institute (NBCRI) recently brought together 20 of Ireland’s most impactful online influencers to amplify the Breast Before Dates campaign, to kick off October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

 

The special “Check-In” activation featured an engaging conversation between host, Georgie Crawford, podcaster and breast cancer survivor, and Patrick Casey, Director of Operations with NBCRI, followed by a yoga session and a live breast-check demonstration by NBCRI nurses. Each influencer will share their experience through social media reels throughout October, inspiring their audiences to visit SPAR and EUROSPAR stores and interact with the campaign’s QR-coded labels, which link to reminders for self-checks.

 

This activation builds on SPAR and EUROSPAR’s commitment to NBCRI and builds on the innovative public awareness campaign entitled Breast Before Dates that aims to raise awareness about the importance of regular check-ups and self-examination for breast cancer. By combining influencer reach with in-store awareness tools like eye-catching labels, posters, and digital animations, the campaign continues to drive both education and action nationwide.

 

The impact of this campaign has earned SPAR and EUROSPAR three nominations at this year’s prestigious Digital Media Awards:
