Posted on: 16 May 2024

Marks and Spencer has today, Thursday 16th May, launched its latest phase of its Farm to Foodhall campaign, with a new ad featuring one of M&S Select Farmers from Co. Mayo Kevin Feeney and M&S Food Ambassador, Mark Moriarty.

In this new phase of the campaign, Mark meets Kevin to explore his third-generation sheep farm and to find out how he delivers top-quality, best in season Irish lamb for M&S. Kevin highlights that the traditional stone walls provide shelter from the elements of the West and that the plentiful supply of high-quality grassland is what ensures that top-quality produce and how all of the M&S Lamb is 100% traceable.

The Farm to Foodhall campaign is highlighting just a few of the farmers and producers across Ireland who supply trusted quality Irish food to M&S customers. The campaign also highlights the ongoing work at M&S in expanding upon its existing range of products sourced from Ireland. Whether it's top-quality premium meats from Irish farms, dairy products like artisan cheeses, or fresh fruits and vegetables grown on Irish soil, customers can enjoy the very best of what Ireland has to offer, sourced to highest quality standards of M&S.

Customers will see the Farm to Foodhall campaign across TV, social, OOH, emails and in store.

Commenting on the campaign, Eddie Murphy, Country Director at M&S Ireland and Northern Ireland, said: “Our Farm to Foodhall campaign continues to champion the incredible work of our M&S Select Farms in Ireland. In our first edition, we visited our Irish berry supplier, highlighting how our Strawberries are stem-picked by hand to guarantee the best quality, fresh fruit for our customers.

In this next phase, we’re heading to the west of Ireland to visit one of our brilliant lamb farmers Kevin Feeney, in County Mayo. All of our lamb is sourced from M&S Select Farms and is 100% traceable. Quality starts at the very beginning of the growing and rearing processes, so we want to highlight the work that farmers like Kevin and his family are doing from the earliest stage to ensure our customers get the best tasting and trusted quality lamb every time.”

M&S ambassador Mark Moriarty added: "It was a pleasure to spend some time with Kevin and his family on their farm in Mayo. Seeing firsthand the passion and dedication that goes into producing such high-quality Irish lamb gives me so much inspiration to cook at home. The M&S range of lamb is absolutely delicious, and it's even better knowing that we're supporting local producers when we shop in store.”
