The Sunday Times, Ireland’s leading quality Sunday news brand, celebrated ten years of ‘The Sunday Times 100 Best Restaurants’ list with a special evening event on Tuesday, 20th May, at the award winning restaurant Allta, located in Dublin City Centre.
Guests from the worlds of business, fashion, culture, technology, interiors and lifestyle enjoyed delicious bites, bespoke cocktails, fine wines, and live music at the event, which marked the start of the exciting summer season. Attendees soaked up the charm and warmth of Allta, which was ranked among the top three on this year’s 'Ten Hottest Dining Rooms' list as part of The Sunday Times 100 Best Restaurants list 2025.
The annual 100 Best Restaurants list is compiled by renowned food critics John and Sally McKenna, who were also in attendance. This year marks John and Sally’s fourth decade covering the 100 Best Restaurants in Ireland and their ninth edition with The Sunday Times.
Over the years, the 100 Best Restaurants list has adapted to reflect the evolving tastes of Irish diners, with the supplement now featuring a variety of sub lists annually including Best for Breakfast, Best for Cheese Boards and many more.
Editor of The Sunday Times, Kieran McDaid, warmly welcomed guests, while Deputy Features Editor Róisín Healy led an insightful conversation with Sally and John McKenna on the evolving tastes of Irish diners and emerging trends shaping the food industry.
