Too Good To Go has announced Chelsea Kerr as the new Managing Director for the UK and Ireland. Chelsea’s new role at Too Good To Go comes at a landmark moment for the company in Ireland, having just reached over two million Surprise Bags saved since the Irish market launch in 2021. This milestone reflects the growing commitment of Irish consumers and businesses to reduce food waste, with thousands of Surprise Bags saved every day across the country.
Too Good To Go is a certified B Corp and social impact company, which operates the world’s largest marketplace for surplus food. The app works by connecting users with local businesses to rescue unsold food. The platform’s Irish presence has surged and now has over 880,000 registered users and 1,800 business partners nationwide.
Chelsea previously served as Too Good to Go’s Director of Key Accounts for the UK, Ireland, and Central Europe where she led the growth of major retail partnerships. Kerr brings experience from companies like Uber, Amazon, and Colgate-Palmolive with expertise in scaling operations and embedding sustainable technology into consumer habits.
Chelsea Kerr, Managing Director for the UK & Ireland at Too Good To Go, said:
“I’m thrilled to be stepping into the role of Managing Director at such an exciting time for our Irish community. Reaching two million Surprise Bags saved in Ireland is a clear sign sustainability has become a mainstream habit. Irish consumers and businesses are ready to lead the way in reducing food waste.
“It’s rare to find a forward-thinking tech business that is so clearly led by its values, and this role perfectly aligns my passion for technology with my belief in mission-driven growth.”
The company has also recently expanded to Japan, marking its first entry into Asia, starting in Tokyo with 80 brand partners. This brings Too Good To Go’s global presence to 21 countries, allowing Irish users traveling abroad to access the app internationally and discover new cuisines at a fraction of the retail price.
