ALDI Ireland has today (1st July) rolled out further price drops, worth more than €9 million to Irish shoppers. The retailer has slashed the price on over 500 products since January, as part of ALDI’s continued promise to make the good life affordable for all. These new savings will lower the cost of a typical weekly shop by up to 20%.
Live the Good Life for Less
Summer is in full swing, and ALDI’s latest price drops include products that are perfect to enjoy during warm weather and long, sunny evenings. Prices have been dropped across barbecue meats and sides, summer fruits and ice-cream, granola, as well as award-winning wines and ciders.
Whether you plan to enjoy a summer of sport at home, family days out, or host friends for a barbecue, ALDI's new price drops have now made it more affordable than ever.
ALDI has customers covered for every scenario – from the full weekly shop, or top-up shopping trips, to special occasions. The latest price drops include customer favourites for date night treats such as steak, wine and desserts; picnic essentials like yoghurts, cheese and bottled water; or even popcorn, ice-cream and soft drinks perfect for summer treats.
Niall O’Connor, Country Managing Director, ALDI Ireland said: “At ALDI, we’re all about making the good life affordable for all. In total, we’ve invested €30 million in price drops on over 500 products since January, which means Irish shoppers can benefit from even more savings at ALDI.
“We believe no one should have to choose between affordability, taste, and quality, and will always offer the best value to Irish shoppers. The prices of summer favourites, everyday staples and dinner table delights have all been reduced, bringing the cost of a weekly shop up to 20% cheaper.
Niall O’Connor added: “We know that household budgets are still under pressure, and we believe that these latest price drops will make a real difference to Irish shoppers. We also know that the best value doesn’t need to be complicated. We won’t be beaten on price, and the only place to get ALDI prices is at ALDI.
“Our price drops are about giving money back to shoppers; making a weekly shop more affordable and delivering better value without compromising on quality.”
ALDI works with a network of more than 330 valued Irish suppliers who supply the highest quality meat, fish, fruit and vegetables, baked goods, frozen produce and much more. The investment announced today represents a commitment by ALDI to support its customers and will not impact the level of support or prices paid to any of its suppliers.
