Cully & Sully is one of 35 Irish food and drink companies attending Anuga, the world’s largest food fair.

Posted on: 09 Oct 2019

The trade show, which began on Friday 5th October, wraps up today, having welcomed upwards of 167,000 trade visitors from 187 countries. The Irish presence was amplified through Bord Bia’s ‘Origin Green – Ireland’ branded pavilions visible across five halls.

Over the five days, Irish food exporters engaged in meetings with influential wholesale and foodservice customers, with the aim of securing new business in priority markets. Anuga is a crucial event for enabling Irish food exporters to expand their global reach. The most attractive growth markets for Irish food and drink companies outside the UK are Germany, China, Italy and the Netherlands, according to Bord Bia’s Brexit Barometer 2019. Crucially, Anuga attracts buyers from all over the globe with the strongest attendance of buyers from these attractive, priority markets. In the past 12 months, Irish food exports have recorded 75% sales growth to non-UK markets.
