This will ensure that over 50,000 runners in the marathon on Sunday, October 30 and race series events across Dublin throughout the summer, will be hydrated and refreshed by ISHKA Irish Spring Water.
It claims to be Ireland's freshest spring water, bottled straight from five certified wells, untouched by human contact and not stored before bottling. It was also the official hydration partner to the Dublin Marathon for its last pre-Covid run in 2019.
"We are overjoyed to again partner with the Dublin Marathon and Race Series," said Denis Sutton, Director of ISHKA Irish Spring Water. "Charity fundraising has always been at the heart of the proud history of the Dublin Marathon, with over €9 million raised each year by amazing runners. We are proud that all athletes across the Dublin Marathon and Race Series will be helped to reach optimum performance by ISHKA."
Based in Ballyneety, ISHKA Irish Spring Water was the first water bottling company in the Republic to use rPET - recycled PET (polyethylene terephthalate) plastic used to make packagings, such as plastic bottles and food containers.
ISHKA was also the first Irish bottled water company to prepare its production lines for the introduction of tethered caps, three years ahead of an EU deadline, making it compulsory for plastic bottle tops to remain connected to bottles.
And in a bid to demonstrate the sustainable ways in which business can operate, last year it used the wooden-sail cargo vessel Ilen to transport a shipment of its water to the Aran Islands and Galway city.
"The Irish Life Dublin Marathon and Race Series are very pleased to partner once again with ISHKA," said Marathon and Race Series Director, Jim Aughney.
"We are delighted to have ISHKA on board. This top-quality, innovative Irish company matches the belief and the strategy behind the Irish Life Dublin Marathon and Race Series."
