Leading Irish Chefs, influencers and Manor Farm collaborate to raise €20K by the 20th of May for Feed the Heroes

Posted on: 05 May 2020

Irish chicken producer Manor Farm, Irish chefs and food influencers have created a digital chicken recipe book, which when downloaded will raise funds for the Feed the Heroes charity organisation. The recipe book is available as an e-book for a donation on the dedicated Feed the Heroes Cookbook fundraising page. All donations from the recipe book will go towards Feed the Heroes, in support of the invaluable work they are doing to support medical workers during Covid-19. Manor Farm aims to raise €20K by the 20th of May for the organisation as the next phase of quarantine is introduced this month. https://chicken.ie/feedtheheroes/

Feed the Heroes is an initiative which aims to provide food for those working on the frontline during the Covid-19 pandemic. Manor Farm collaborated with their brand ambassador, Adrian Martin, on gathering a collective of food enthusiasts to create a recipe book filled with delicious chicken recipes. The recipe book has 22 chicken recipes which can be easily made at home during the quarantine period.

Chefs and food influencers provided Manor Farm with their go-to chicken recipes that they enjoy making at home. Contributors include a range of chefs, influencers and foodies, and restaurateur Adrian Martin has also included his favourite chicken recipe. Adrian is an enthusiastic Irish chef who has worked with Manor Farm to expand consumer horizons on the versatility of chicken. Earlier this year, he opened his first restaurant, Wildflower, in London.

Brendan Nolan, Marketing Manager for Manor Farm said:

“Following HSE and HSPC guidelines, our staff and colleagues have continued to go to work every day in difficult circumstances and can therefore recognise the sacrifices that frontline workers are making on all our behalf. This book is a thank you to them from Manor Farm.”

Manor Farm Ambassador Adrian Martin comments:

"I am privileged to have this opportunity to collaborate with my chef friends and food contemporaries to develop this online recipe book.  We know more people are cooking at home in this current crisis and we hope we can add some variety to their repertoire with many accessible chicken recipes, while also supporting the invaluable work of Feed the Heroes."

The Manor Farm Feed the Heroes Cookbook is available online on the Manor Farm website, where you will be directed to a dedicated donation page. Manor Farm became involved with Feed the Heroes when they noticed a strain in demand for their products in supermarkets while their Foodservice business was down so they wanted to support their customers as best they could. They realised that workers on the frontline of the pandemic are unable to access supermarkets as easily and no longer have time to prepare food. Manor Farm saw an opportunity to help frontline workers while also supporting the Foodservice industry.
