Retailer once again recognised as a Best Workplace for Women in Ireland

Tesco Ireland is proud to announce it has been officially certified a Great Place to Work 2022 and has also been recognised as a Best Workplace for Women in Ireland. Great Place to Work celebrates Irish companies that promote employee wellbeing while supporting staff to perform at their best.

Tesco is one of Ireland’s largest private-sector employers, employing over 13,000 colleagues throughout the country in its network of 152 stores, head office and distribution. This is the fifth consecutive year that Tesco has been named a top Irish workplace, which is assessed through Great Place to Work’s ‘Trust Index©’ employee experience survey and ‘Culture Audit’. The survey was issued to Tesco colleagues to measure the extent to which the organisation is a great workplace for people.

In addition to the Great Place to Work accolade, Tesco was also acknowledged as one of 27 Best Workplaces for Women in Ireland for the fourth conservative year.

Maurice Kelly, People Director, Tesco Ireland said: “I’m delighted that Tesco Ireland has been accredited as a Great Place to Work for the fifth consecutive year and Best Workplaces for Women for the fourth year. This certification acknowledges the great work our colleagues do to make working at Tesco a great experience for everyone. It’s a tribute to all our colleagues and the agility they demonstrate every day. We’re proud to be a diverse organisation and are committed to continuously developing our business as an inclusive workplace with equal opportunities for all.”
