Tesco unveils new Clubcard Reward Partners

Posted on: 22 Mar 2023

Tesco Ireland is delighted to announce that The AA and Royal Caribbean International have joined its hugely popular Clubcard Reward Partners programme. Clubcard is the key to unlocking additional value in-store and online through the Tesco Ireland app and website, but also offers customers value for money and more ways to save through its Reward Partner programme.

The two newest Reward Partners join a host of market-leading partners giving Tesco Ireland customers the chance to avail of exclusive deals and savings across days out, restaurants, entertainment, travel and more.

The AA

Tesco Clubcard holders can benefit from huge savings with The AA as it joins Tesco as a Reward Partner this week. With the latest statistics from the AA revealing of the 2.2 million cars on the road, 82% are currently out of warranty, Tesco Clubcard holders can avail of a 50% discount on the annual standard cover for breakdown assistance when they exchange €22 of Clubcard vouchers to get €66 off its annual standard cover. In addition, customers will receive up to €250 off AA car insurance renewal.

Royal Caribbean International

Cruise holidays continue to be among holidaymakers’ favourites due to the unique onboard experiences and convenience. Ideal for couples, families, and even solo travellers, they are a guaranteed way of visiting several destinations on the same trip.

As part of the new partnership, Tesco Clubcard holders in Ireland can treble the value of their vouchers to go towards the cost of a holiday with Royal Caribbean Cruises. So, for example, a €5 voucher is worth €15 and a €100 voucher is worth €300.

With 26 ships serving more than 260 destinations, Royal Caribbean is one of the world’s leading cruise liners and has been creating extraordinary holidays, cruising to unforgettable destinations for more than 50 years.

Speaking about the announcement, Cathal Deavy, Customer Director, Tesco Ireland said, “We know that Clubcard has the power to not only unlock great value prices in-store and online, but through our Clubcard Reward Partner programme, customers have access to added value through our market-leading partners.

We’re delighted to announce The AA and Royal Caribbean International as our newest Reward Partners. With demand for domestic and international travel on the rise, the two new reward partners represent another great way for shoppers to save even more. Through our new and existing partners, our customers will get even better value with their vouchers whether it’s for their annual holiday, weekends away or midweek breaks wherever and whenever they decide to go.”

Tesco Ireland is working to further digitise the Clubcard programme and in recent weeks has made it easier for customers to access savings. Using the Tesco Ireland app, once a Clubcard customer has 150 points or more, they can now turn their Clubcard points into vouchers instantly.

Tesco Clubcard is free to join and enables members to collect points with their shopping at Tesco and with partners, Tesco Mobile Ireland and Certa forecourts and home heating oil. These points are converted into vouchers, and vouchers can be exchanged for greater than their value with the following Reward Partners: Tesco Mobile Ireland, Dublin Zoo, Milano, Disney+, ODEON Cinemas, The AA, Irish Ferries, Stena Line, Center Parcs, Hotels.com and Royal Caribbean International. Customers can also donate their vouchers to Tesco’s charity partner, Children’s Health Foundation.

Customers already signed up to Clubcard are receiving their paper or e-statements from today which include information on the latest partners.
