Roe & Co, a brand that lives and breathes creative reinvention, will bring some of Ireland’s most impressive creatives together to celebrate craft in the heart of Dublin city in this winter series. Book your exclusive tour in the stunning surroundings of the newly opened Roe & Co distillery in the heart of Dublin’s Liberties, and choose a Roe & Collective craft workshop as a limited edition festive add on. Each event will have a festive feel complete with Christmas tunes and warming Roe & Co cocktails, making it a great way to escape the frenzy of shopping and busy streets to spend time with friends creating something new.
For the first event in the series, Roe & Co will partner with Sustainable Fashion Dublin to host a Christmas upstyling and mending workshop. This intimate gathering is the perfect way to learn more from the experts on the benefits of sustainable fashion ahead of the festive season.
For those looking to flex their green fingers, award winning landscape artist Mark Grehan from The Garden at Powerscourt Town House will partner with Roe & Co to deliver a wonderful afternoon of festive wreath making. Taking inspiration from the wonderful vanilla and spiced orchard fruits flavours of the bourbon cask blend, guests will make their own modern festive wreaths which they can bring home and enjoy.
For the final workshop, Julianne Brogan of BlackSheep Foods will be on hand to help guests create their own festive grazing board, perfect for sharing with family and friends this season. Carefully assembled, the stunning collection of delicious treats are sure to be the centrepiece of any table.
For people interested in attending any of the workshops they can simply add the event when booking their tour tickets online. Like all visitors to the distillery they will be treated to an exploration of the Roe & Co distillery, located in the former Guinness Power Station in the heart of Dublin’s buzzing Liberties district. Fun and flavour are at the centre of every aspect of the Roe & Co visitor experience, which will transport guests on a journey of taste and discovery. Guests will enjoy a fully immersive 45-minute tour and get the chance to observe the operational live distillery, hear the hum of production and witness the copper pot stills and mash tun from an impressive elevated glass walkway.
Each tour includes an interactive visit to the distillery’s Room 106 where guests can try Roe & Co whiskey neat. Take a deep dive into taste in the Flavours workshop where guests will explore the five pillars of flavour; sweet, sour, bitter, salty and umami, and uncover their ideal taste profile when it comes to whiskey cocktails. Finally, after he tour guests are welcome to spend time and relax with one of Roe & Co’s World Class cocktails in the showstopping Power House Bar, designed by Drinksology, the creative minds behind some of the World’s 50 Best Bars.
