Rye River Brewing Company crowned the world’s most decorated independent craft brewery with 21 World Beer Awards Celbridge based brewery driving the reputation of Irish craft beer internationally

Irish craft beer brewery, Rye River Brewing Company, has been crowned the world’s most decorated independent craft brewery at the World Beer Awards 2019. Rye River Brewing Company has achieved critical acclaim on the world stage, winning an unprecedented 21 World Beer Awards in 2019, officially making it the “World’s most decorated independent craft brewery”.

 

The Celbridge based brewery produces beers under their flagship brands McGargles and Rye River Seasonal, as well as supplying private and exclusive craft beers to some of Irelands largest retailers. The McGargles range of beers topped the list with nine award wins with its core range available in all major retailers across Ireland. Other award-winning Rye River brands included The Crafty Brewing Company, which is produced exclusively for Lidl and is now available in over 20 countries across Europe. As well the Solas range which is sold in Ireland exclusively to Tesco Ireland and Grafters which is sold exclusively to Dunnes Stores in Ireland.

 

Overall, Rye River Brewing secured 1 World’s Best in Class winner, 12 Country Style Winners, 4 Gold Medal Winners, 3 Silver Medal Winners and 1 Bronze Medal Winner with 21 of the 30 beers Rye River produce taking home awards. This unprecedented achievement builds on the 19 World Beer Awards won by the brewery in 2018, making 2019 the company’s most successful year to date.

“World’s Best IPA American Style” for McGargles Francis’ Big Bangin’ IPA.

 

12 Country Style Winners for:  McGargles Francis’ Big Bangin’ IPA, Solas  Brown Porter, Grafters Clocking off Kolsch style, McGargles Dan’s Double IPA, The Crafty Brewing Company American Style Pale Wheat Ale, McGargles Daragh's Session IPA, McGargles Bill's Wheat IPA, McGargles Ned's Retro IPA, McGargles Granny's Red Ale, The Crafty Brewing Company American Style Brown Ale, Rye River Mother Pucker Blackberry Sour and Rye River Belgian Imperial Stout.

 

4 Gold Medal Winners: McGargles Rosie's Pale Ale, Rye River Miami J IPA,  The Crafty Brewing Company Irish Red Ale and The Crafty Brewing Company Irish Stout,

Since the establishment of the brewery in 2013, Rye River Brewing has achieved a phenomenal 130 awards. In the last three years Rye River Brewing has won five Best in Class Awards at the World Beer Awards – meaning that Rye River Brewing now produces five of the best beers in the world. Thus, differentiating Rye River Brewing Company as the leading and most influential craft beer brewery in Ireland that is also driving the reputation of Irish craft beer internationally.

 

The World Beer Awards is a prestigious competition that celebrates of beers from around the world, with over 2,000 beers from 30 countries entering the awards. The awards are a part of The World Drinks Awards, a global awards show selecting the very best in all internationally recognised styles of drinks.

Rye River Brewing Company employs an expert team of 47 people who are responsible for crafting some of the world’s best beers as part of the brewery’s portfolio of 30 multi award-winning beers that have become household favourites and are exported to 25 international markets.
